I agree with ghostTX ,mine is being built with IUP .....it's just a parts shortage .
If you wanted your car sooner then you would change 18g to 18r .Your dealer should of asked first if this is what you wanted.
That's right, the dealer should NOT be changing your order without your permission. It's your car, not his.

Plus, I understand that changing your order bumps your place in line and you basically start all over again. Why do that, at all, much less when the IUP delay is reportedly being relieved??

The dealer is serving himself, not you his customer. Make some noise, get in his face.

This is easy....DON"T give them permission to change it. Telll them you want it to sit with the 18G until the issue is cleared up.

That is not accurate, I personally ahve at least a dozen ordered with the IUP and they aren't getting changed unless either the customer says so or Ford officially says the the IUP will never be offered, ever again. This hasn't happened yet so they shouldn't be changed.

I don't have anymore idea than anyone else (I just like to pretend to sometimes) but as far as anything "official" the only thing they've told us is "there will be no more scheduled for January". When, or if, I hear differently I'll post it ASAP.
