Well, took my 06 in today, second time for the tranny. It's whines when at light throttle in 5th between 50-60mph. Their tranny guys diagnosed it as 'normal' even though other GT's on their lot don't make the whine. I was told to drive it 6K miles to properly break in the gearset. Looks like i'll be back in at 6K b/c this noise isn't going anywhere.

Also, my 06 has the fuel tank filling issue. It pukes up extra fuel when filling. They are ordering a new tank, and I should have it done in the next two weeks.

Also, Vista Blue touch up paint isn't available yet. :notnice:

I got some Vista Blue touch up paint from my Dealer here in Richmond so there is touch up paint out there. Your Dealer may have to order it from Ford

I have had no problems with my 5 speed Manuel Transmission or Fuel Tank

But I did have a problem with a rock hitting my windshield

Seriously I hope you get your problems fixed soon

Dang. I went to parts, and they didn't have any available. They called the warehouse and they said they anticipate it to be 'available soon.' I guess soon was a few weeks ago. Thanks for the heads up.

Ask Kevin (05stangkc), he has vista blue touch up paint (He sent me some). As for the whiney transmission......I took my car in for the same thing (5th gear, on the throttle) and basically got the run-around too. They didn't say that it was normal, but they did tell me to wait and get more miles on it (I'll wait until spring), and then bring it back it and they will probably have to get a Ford rep to come check it out. It could be the ring/pinion gear TSB, but the reps told the dealer that sometimes it fixed it, and sometimes it didn't, so Ford engineers are supposedly working on a better fix.

Anyone else find a solution to this problem?

Kevin, I would do what Jason suggested and get in touch with 05stangkc and get some from him. Or you can get your Dealer to order it from Ford.

The Dealer that got mine took a couple of weeks and a few calls but they did get it
