However, does anyone have any advice about placing my order, such as stuff to add to the fine print of the contract, such as "If it doesn't come with IUP by April, I get my deposit back."

Also, I've heard some people say they requested a certain priority code. What's that all about?

Anything else I should be thinking about?

Ask for the DORA before you put down a deposited. And work it out so you can walk away and get your money back at anytime. Get priority 10. 1-9 is regional only; dealership can do 10-99. 99 mean your order won’t be submitted but is in their system. Allocations are picked by priority number and if two have the same priority then by the date it was submitted.
