With so many still waiting for updates who ordered months before me, I'm trying to figure out how I was able to order last Wednesday and already show submitted to plant and have a VIN #? I didn't get a build date though. The last digits of my VIN are 455112150. Any idea on when this might be built? This is a GT deluxe without the IUP package.

Maybe the process is moving faster now, or I was able to get in on my dealer's initial allocation?

 

Mine is 955112080 got it yesterday. No build date for me either but will put it up here when I get it. You are lucky I'd say!

 

Maybe because you didn't get the IUP? I think BEK mentioned something about the IUP in short supply. Anyway it's cool that it happened so fast for ya.

 

I was thinking the lack of the IUP might have something to do with it. I guess I'm kind of in shock, because it might get here before Thanksgiving. I really didn't expect it until early next year based on how slow things were going for others who ordered in advance. Even though my dealer is a good-sized dealer, I think he has taken in a handful of Mustang orders. I expect this will change once the advertising begins.

I ordered mine back on June 23rd. Just got my vin yesterday it's 855111186. Do not have any idea on build date though.

 

Well think about it, it makes sense that we'll get our Vin's and build dates quicker because they are actually building them now.

In May when the order bank opened up there were no cars being built. That's 3 months of dead time where nothing happens.

 

My dealer only gets updates on Fridays. Today they still didn't have a Vin for me. I sure hope they do next Friday

Well this thread is music to my ears, I have ordered on 09/21... Now I can hope to get my VIN in the next 2 weeks.
Dealer keeps telling me its going to take atleast 4 weeks to get the VIN.

 

I ordered in July and don't have a scheduled build OR a VIN.

It may have to do with dealer allocation... my dealer has a bunch of Mustangs on order, and maybe yours didn't have to many customer orders.

 

I finally got a VIN today. I ordered on July 7 and the dealer submitted the order on July 16. Last 6 on VIN 112200. Nothing yet on build date of course.
