What if it ticks when you aren't using the AC?
What if it ticks when you aren't using the AC?
Yesterday I restarted the car put the control **** over to full AC (far Left) hit the AC switch and then recirculation (next button to the right ) .Ran it for 1 min....turned the recurculation off ,turned the AC off and put the control **** to "0" ....No more tick.
My guess was that i turned the AC off without turning the recurculation off and rolled the control **** over to heat /defrost then shut down the car. This might have left the recirculation mode still on without haveing the AC on restarting the car and was cycleing back and forth...CLICK>>>CLICK>>>CLICK.

I did get Eleanor to tick on command. It drives me nuts, its like chinese water torture. Solution is to blast the shaker.......Can't hear it with loud music.
It IS the AC compressor turning on and off, BUT Ford has not identified how to fix it yet.
Soon as they do they will issue a TSB on it.
