I am going on TDY for 6 weeks and I have to store my new baby. I was wondering if there is anything that I should to to her before I store her in a storage unit. I live in Northern California so it does not get below 40 deg here. Should I have somebody go by once a week and start her? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You will be fine for 6 weeks. Just park it.

Just park it, throw a blanket on top, and don't give ANYONE your keys!!! Starting it once a week will cause more harm than letting it sit for those 6 weeks.

FWIW, I've had mine in storage since Nov (Inside ,covered, room temp). I have had occassion to move the car twice....and my battery was drawn down to zero both times ( Several weeks between). I don't know if its a problem on the car or that the systems draw a lot of amps. (manual says max draw is .05 amps). You might want to disconnect battery. :notnice:

B) For anything more than about 3 weeks with potential temp below 60° I Ditto the battery disconnect comment. Or get a voltage sensing trickle charger if power is avaiable. You'll be fine either way
:flag2: BTW thanks for serving

I second the battery disconnect especially if you have the A-A-T option, it will drain the battery. Just loosen negative cable and lift off post. You will need a nonconductive material (rubber, wood), to place between post and cable. This cable will not bend out of position.
