Still own mine, brought her home december 15, 2004. Sonic blue premium, dark charcoal. Haven't had any problems besides the popping strut bearings, gas tank fill issues, "skipper" 500 skipping and drivers side aluminum door sil popped up. All covered by warranty. On my third battery, and just replaced front brake pads for the first time. I still love her and still get compliments. Only change oil, no major service and she runs like a new car still. Only 35,XXX fun filled miles and no plans to upgrade anytime soon. With the economy being what it is I haven't kept up on here, it's hard to avoid buying stuff reading this board lol.

i took my 2006 to a car show the other evening and the guys beside me had the new 5.0's and was looking at mine, they said it looked nice and asked how many miles...
i told them 7,500 (yes 7 thousand) and he looked at me like i was crazy.
ok so i dont drive it much but i love every time i do take it out. it turns heads most of the time. i guess seeing one that clean doesnt happen much around here. most are dirty or in some bad shape.

I still own mine and its an early one. This was the first car delivered to Wayne Ford in New Jersey. I had an inside scoop that the car was coming in and made a deal over the phone with a trade in at sticker. Practically every dealer was charging $3-$5k over list for them at that time and while I was willing to pay sticker, I wasn't paying over. I had a friend that used to work at that dealer and he set me up. I have about 14,000 miles on it and still smile when I look at the car. I will have it for some time to come baring any weird circumstances.

The car was picked up on or about October 15th, 2004.

Mine just passed 90,000 km. Took it out for a road trip last week and averaged 28 mpg (sweet). Some things do get better with age.

Thanks

Did you go with the Shelby one, or one of Trufiber's (Mine is the Shelby w/ the aluminum extractor grilles)

I'm still here too. 17,000 on my GT premium. Got it in January of '05 for $1000 under MSRP. No mods, just love me the original way I ordered it.

Still here although I don't check in as much as I used to. We picked up the car in March 2005. It's a garage queen with about 8K miles. We did a '70 Mach 1 tribute with it. It's the first Mustang we ever modded. I still think the styling is better than the "new" version!

I still hover around! I got a 2006 Mustang GT in Vista Blue back in September of 2005. I just hit 30,000 miles today! Still no mods and the car has done quite well so far! Just replaced the tires and I'm thinking about getting some white stripes painted on that has been a long time coming! I still find myself turning to look at it when I'm walking away!

I admit the 5.0 has been very tempting but I love the history I have with my car. Remember how crazy exciting it was to get the car when they first came out? It's very hard to trade that for even a 5.0.

Still have mine (39k), although it's mostly just cruises and racing. Here's our stable with the new '11 my DD now (my gal's is the white one, which she put a 12.6 down the quarter):

my first one showed up in oct 05, the hauler smashed it unloading it- had to reorder after months of waiting without even a test drive...42k on the one we finally picked up that December, still just a ball to drive. youre not kidding about the crazy/exciting PITA it was to get one back in 05/06.

I'd love to have a 5.0 too, but everyone has their favorites...mines the 69 fastback, followed by the 05-09, then the 70, then pretty much anything from 65-68 fastbacks and 10-12s would be about equal...

the new 5.0 is a awesome package, but just dont quite call out to me as much as others looks-wise...still think in the decades to come, the 05-09 will be as desireable as the 69...

hoping the 2014/2015 moves to the top of my list, but doubtful as ford seems more bent on the 'brand' styling- like the rounded flares/disappearing/reappearing side crease on the mustang/taurus/escape...personally I dont think the 'brand styling' should ever be considered a good idea...give the cars some style...
