Aren't the Explorer heated seat buttons ON the seat? And a dash light confirms it? They could always go that route.

Button is on side of seats on explorer on limited or eddie bauer- will show heated seat on in climate control screen. (on aviator they have heat/cool seats with power controls and buttons moved to door panel)

Expeds only have heat with cooling option, available on Eddie Bauer with powerfold third row seat- buttons are on center console with rheostat to set temperature.(option also includes power passenger seat)

F series uses the EXACT same setup as the mustang does(button is the same too), only with two red lights for both temperatures. Available on Lariat only

Foci has them on the center console with winter package available with leather or cloth seats on ZX3/5 and ZTS ZTW and SVT(also includes traction control and block heater on SVT)

Superduty and excursion are on the front corners of the lower seat frame. available in cloth or leather on XLT-up

Escape on side of seat on limited model only with luxury leather comfort package.

Where they are under the radio is where they will be, with different symbology in production(the steamin butt symbol). The buttons in those pics are just out of the Ford grab-bag.
