Everyone should be true to their heart! No need to apologize for that. There is always room for a variety of great cars!

the rt's have darn near the same stats as the gt does. 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times.

I have not been able to really flog it just yet, I am in the break-in period. So far it seems stronger and seems to have more pep than my GT. Ofcourse my GT was an auto and this is manual so that could have something to do with it. I can't wait for the break-in to be done so i can really drive it and see what she can do.

I drove the auto R/T in Black with Silver Stripes. I put 8 miles on it and the dealer was upset I didn't buy it. It was an auto and I think the rear gears are weak too.

I'm sure if I had driven the six speed with 3.73s it would have been a different car. My question is going to regard the aftermarket. Obviously a 2.97 first with a 3.73 in a 4400lb car isn't going to come near an equally equiped Mustang, even with 375HP at 5800RPM. But, if the aftermarket is going to sell some simple bolt-ons and keep them such that the car stays under Corvette money...then maybe I'm interested.

Let us know what mods and improvements you make with this. I know this is a Mustang site, but maybe in off topic chatter you can start a thread. I would be interested in seeing how cool this car can be if it is done right.

Your not going to pry my pony out of my hands, but I would LOVE to add an SRT8 to the garage at some point in the future. Heck, I think a nice Camaro would round out the garage quite nicely as well.

Have fun with your new toy!

Mine actually has the 20" wheels so it has the 3.91 gears. A bit better than 3.73's.

Only mods planned so far is Corsa exhaust. Maybe a CAI but for now just the exhaust.

Have fun with the new ride and post back here when you start modding it; I would like to see what it looks like lowered.
