I believe it is selling as a used car. Has anyone questioned the former owner? Maybe the guy couldnt get finacing, got mad, and took it out on this former ride, ya know "if I cant have it nobody can" attitude.

Someone should question him.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Utterly ridiculous There may be hope in catching the punks if it was kids. They tend to brag a lot about what they do, so maybe (hopefully) something is overheard and these punks can be put where they should be. Society is just too lenient on today's youth.

Stranger things have happened! It doesn't matter anyway. After she gets fixed up she will be good as new. Just though it cause the lot money. If it had been a six maybe you would have trouble with the sale as used but with GT's being short on demand you will have her sold soon. At least I hope so.

How long was it from the time it was stolen till recovered? Was it raining or was the weather nice?

There is a good chance that prints can be recovered from the outside of the car. hopefully the punks that did this will have been fingerprinted before and have a record in the state/federal database.

Maybe "bubba" will be upgrading this guys exhaust in the near future.

Hmmm fairgrounds next door, county fair you say. I would suspect that there are alot of transients traveling with the carnival. If it was someone with the carnival they are never in one place too long so their criminal activity is difficult to track. Looks to me like young punk hoods, keys were probably left in car. If it were an inside job that car would have been stripped to the frame or never seen again.

Car was taken after hours and our owner got a call the next morning around 6:30 from the County Sheriff. Weather was hot and humid. Rain? I do not understand the concept. We are having the worst drought in decades; and we are a farm community. I really feel for the farmers.

Yeah and why would the dealer have an extra set of v6 wheels to throw on it?

No details yet. We have a lock box system which each car has a box on the window that needs a special key to open. There is no sign of broken glass. We have the spare set here.

Only 4 ways it could have happened:

1- slim jimmied the door, took off the lock box, broke it open and got keys.
2- someone left door unlocked so they did not have to jimmy it to get to lock box.
3- keys left in ignition
4- inside job [highly unlikely]

Car was parked on the concrete pad just outside our east showroom door under a floodlight so whoever did it would have had to be quick. Hope to have more details later today.
My dealer told me that the chip is easy to get around and he could do it with a dime.
