Here are the pics. Not for the faint of heart. All glass was broken except for rear driver side glass. LF headlamp broken, left rear tail lamp broken, driver door screwed up as they tried to get speakers out of door. They punched a hole in the hood and took the shaker 1000 stuff out of the trunk.
State Police are here dusting it.

I wonder how they managed to take the car because from the pictures they are obviously not pros.....kids that are hacks and have no clue how to take a car apart. I've been to a lot of auctions with theft recovery cars.....the idiots are the ones that bust them up like that.

i agree 100%
also how far away did they find the car from your dealership...............
Don't forget the wheels were stolen too. They probly put what they had on her to get her back to the shop. All I can say is that they were most likly kids and just wanted the sound system. How dumb was that. real dumb. To bad, she looked like she was very pretty. Some one out there will buy her in the shape she is in I have no doubt.
Here's an idea................When they catch the idiots who did this the punks should be lined up in front of the remains of the car and everyone who wanted a GT but got bumped (what was the number....about 5000 people) take a turn at giveing 'em an ole RoShamBo................

Or a couple Rottweilers!
Reminds me of a really big tire wholesaler I knew in Montgomeryvill PA , had a huge sign on the gate "Beware of Alligators"

It looks like it was a manual with only 3393 mile. Here's a link to the dealership with info on the car. (I think the dealer photo is reversed):

How horrible!!! You know, there are some really STUPID people in this world.....they can't keep a job, or get one, or don't see the need for one for that matter and they think it's alright to just TAKE what they want from someone who's worked their **** off to have. That really burns me up!!! I hope THEY burn!!
Wow... Someone didn't do much planning for that theft. Those door panels are a lot easier to just take off than they are to completely destroy like that. Very unfortunate. I hope theyre found and punished.

Hey Ed, I remember that place you are talking about as I work in Lansdale. I just don't remember the name. What was it called again?

I used to work on Sumneytown Pike just north of MAin St. selling real estate and insurance [back in 1978 &1979]. My In-Laws live in Line Lexington just off 309.
Ed, if the tires/rims were stolen, then that explains the V6 tires/rims on the rear in your picture. However, what was put on the front? I've always read that the front brakes were too big on the GT for the V6 rims/tires.
Well, at least it was from a dealership. That means the car thieves still haven't figured out a way pas the microchip in the keys other than stealing the key itself.
Now if this car was stolen from a private owner who still had all his keys... then I would be worried.

The temp spare was put on left front and we had to remove brake calipes to get wheel on right front. Luckily we had a set of take-offs for sale. The wrecker company was just going to drag the car up onto the flatbed while sitting on its rotors [ouch].

I still think it was kids. They didn't know what they were doing. I am glad for you that the car can be repaired. And I say this agin,"Some one will take her just the way she is!" I heard of a guy in I think last December who bought a Black 05GT off Ebay, that had been in a reck and the frame was bent. I mean bent to the point that he would have to cut the frame in half, and pick up another with opposite end recked to do the same and weld the two halves together to make his car drivable.
