I ordered my GT 5 Speed in November. 20th to be exact. I have YET to get a build date. Was just wondering how many peeps ordered WITH IUP after that date and either received theirs or have a build date. I'm really getting frustrated.

Thanks.

I think I say for everyone here that IUP isn't the reason why your car isn't built and has more to do with your dealer's allocation. IUP isn't a problem anymore.

Agreed, I've been seeing cars with IUP at the dealers consistently now.

I guess I should've entitled this...

WTB Legend Lime 2005 GT 5-Speed with IUP and Standard (hate leather) interior. Oh well. Posted my thread on "How to Special Order a Mustang" in the main 2005 area and hoepfully others don't get "jilted" by the dealers like me. Found out they were over their allotment and for over 4 months they've been telling me that FORD had my order and actually it was on the desk with the order clerk. Just my luck. Where's a good attorney when you need one. How many tape recordings did I make....er...uh...nevermind.

I've got a build date for this week.

Not to Hijak the thread but just a question to those whose cars have been built, I've been getting for about a week and a half, As of APRIL 2nd your unit has been scheduled to be built the week of March 28th" I've called each day this week hoping for a status change (to bucked or built), Once your build week comes how often do they update the status?

OK. Well to all of you who ordered after me from a dealer with Allotments, all I can say is "I hate you!" /stomps on ground /sticks out tonge /moons

I love FORD, hate Dealers in Mid West. I have been screwed by 3 seperate Ford Dealerships in KC area.

First Dealer Acquired Car - Boots Williams Ford - They added stuff to contract sometime between the 5 minutes before when I looked at it to when I signed and of course was a Ford Taurus that was awful.

Second Dealer Acquired Car - Olathe, KS Ford - Believed them on the Blue Book Price I bought it for and found out later they lied. Note: Don't buy on a weekend when you have no bank office to verify value.

Third Dealer Acquired Car - Lee's Summit, MO Ford - and that's the one I'm waiting on. Believe me, if I can find one for the same or even a couple grand off of sticker I'll jump ship and sue the rat bastiges for my $100 back on principal. I have more than enough documented ammo.

For what it's worth, I have not heard anything good about any dealership in the area other than Shawnee Mission Ford. They have been very friendly, curteous, and gave me what I think is a fair price ($1000 over invoice). Granted it is taking awhile to get it, but they never claimed it wouldn't. They told me it would probably be May from the beginning. Can't fault them for being honest. Anyway, my point is, though it is taking them awhile, I believe that it will for any dealership in the KC area, so at Shawnee Mission is up front about it. If you end up reordering, try them out. The one thing I know is DO NOT go to Bob Allen Ford. It's up to you, but I have not had the best of luck with them. The only other dealership that might be okay is Thoroughbred, but that is not because I have heard anything good about them, but I at least have not heard anything bad. They look huge though, so it might be worth a shot.
