Got my Brenspeed tuner but can't use it...yet
It arrived yeterday and after paying the ruthless UPS guy $91.75 for taxes and brokerage fees
I opened the box and installed a tune. I can't drive the car yet because I am waiting for a modification to be done to the brake cooling kit I am making and the front brakes are all appart.
Question, how high should I set the RPM redline? What is stock?

Some tuners set it for 6800 RPM so you can get a clean 6500 RPM shift in but I wouldn't push it. Unless you are drag racing the car every weekend and trying to go all out for top times leave it at the 6500. Why grenade a block for a few hundred RPM's

It can be set by the user (me) to anything I want. There are a lot of parameters that can't be changed, for obvious reasons, and is left to Brenspeed. I do autocrossing and I can't count how many times I could have used an extra 100 or 200 rpms so that I got a little more speed or didn't have to shift.
I don't wan't to stress the internals so I want to know what a safe red line would be. I think stock is 6200, so in my mind 6500 would be as far as I would want to push it.

The only thing I would adjust is the redline, gear ration and the tire rotation per mile settings. Other than that, forget it!
I am interested in the data logging ability, anyone try that? What kind of information can you get? I would like to see what a day of autocrossing looks like when you play it back.

If you're in doubt, call Brenspeed. They'll keep you in the know.

This is all new to me, so bear with the numerous questions.

Just took it out with the 87 octane tune. I like the throttle response, but to be honest, I didn't really feel much difference. Keep in mind, I have been driving my 93 Mazda 626 for the last few weeks, so even if the Mustang was stock it seems way faster than the Mazda.
I am just about out of fuel so I will try filling up with 93 octane and try that tune next.
One thing I can't seem to do is change the revs/mile successfully. I have tried twice and both times for some reason the redline gets set to 2500 rpm. Both times I went back to the 87tune so that I can drive it.
Oh well, at least I have something to play with for a while!
