it doesnt matter what the build dates are if we activated it on an 05, 06, and 07. They all worked. No missing pieces or wires. You have to look around they can activate it.

Interesting.....I'm going to have to check into this with my local dealership. It is the largest Mustang dealer in the midwest, so they should know if anyone does!!

What if they tinker with the computer with a tune installed?

My dealer didn't care that I had a tune, it just depends on the dealership.

The only person to get it to work in anything later than a build date of Apr '05 is chabbz182. And he won't give the name of the dealership nor give any proof that his works, so I'll believe it when I see it.

Just FYI - I've never taken mine in to have the feature activated, but out of curiosity - I tried it last week and it worked in my 05. Build date was 2nd week of production in Sep 04.

It was raining and I didn't want to run outside if I didn't have to - and from the doorway at work (about 30 yards) I pointed, and viola - windows up. The two guys who ran across the lot to roll thier up and got all wet were jealous.

I couldn't find a dealer that would activate mine. My 05 was built Feb '05 and just needs to be activated.

Time for webelectrics or one of the aftermarket gizmo companies to make a product for us 07 types that want this. Come on, free market economy!

Chabz =
It can't be activated beyond '05 models (unless someone develops an aftermarket hack). Some or all cars might have the option to enable it in the computer, but the module that controls the windows is different.

You press and hold the unlock button on your key fob/remote and both windows roll down. However, you can't roll them up using the remote.

Also, you can put the key in the driver's door lock and either roll them both up by holding it the lock position or roll them both down by holding it in the unlock posistion.

Your Car is VERY UNUSUAL. I have an 05, build date early Dec. and my windows will roll down ,but have never gone UP.

Instead of fixing it, they just disable it! Say what you will, but Honda has had this feature for years and it works perfectly. (Yes, I do own a Mustang) Come on Ford, you must have an engineer with some knowledge of electronics, if not call Honda for some help.

OLD post, new to me. I came out in the rain, to find the windows down. Rolled em up, no idea what happened.
Next morning go out to find em down again, a little wet inside, but at least under the carport this time.
Roll em up, and remove the key, shut the door and down they go. 3 times this happened, finally rolled em up, disconnected the battery and started reading the forums and post. I figured i was going to the dealer and having the global turned off.
After much reading and thinking i decided to try making the global work by turning the key in the door lock, to raise the windows. Well it has worked. no more window drop, Global still works using the key FOB.
(05 Gt built 12/04 Started having problems after a heavy rain).I hope this helps anyone else, wonder if Ford checked this when deciding to disconnect all those that paid for the feature.
