Just as strong if not stronger than the metal roof. There is no roof structure removed to install the glass tops.

Yea all the support structure is there, just the skin is gone, so it would just shatter like a side window to pebbles, but the structural frame would remain intact. Just like a moonroof.

I would have to vote no after being in some vans in Japan a few years ago with a lot of glass in the roof. The interior was so hot the AC could barely keep up even when it wasn't too hot outside. With me moving to Vegas I would think it would be killer hot.

I think it would be cool! Can't say I agree with people who say it "ruins the muscle car heritage".

Apparently Ford is anxious to get the glass roof to market! The option
has been promoted from MY2009 to 2008 Job 2!

the vista roof must be a popular option in other cars.

Oh God, if I only waited. Then again, if I waited another 6 months I'd probably be driving an Evo X. Arghh... oh well..

If I was to guess I bet it will be the Saleen glass, and I bet it will be done by Saleen in Troy,MI. Saleen is installing the Saleen SC in the new Harley Truck for Ford. I highly doubt if it happens that Ford would do it on the Flat Rock Assembly line.
