Any trunk pics yet?? Curious to see how much room the Subs take up.

Thanks.

Thanks Mike.....I'm ordering an '07 Vert as soon as the order bank opens up next month....just trying to decide on the 500 or the 1000 because of the trunk space.

Shaker 1000 - Trunk Space w/ the Factory Woofer:

Try these - I put an 8.5X11 piece of paper in the trunk for reference. I measured the space as approx. 40"x30" but keep in mind the space is a little irregular in shape.

Bottom line: This is not a grocery go-getter by any means so trunk space should not play that big a role unless you have something specific you need to carry on a regular basis (musical insturment, golf clubs, stoller , etc).

(IMHO) If you want to drive it off the lot with an amazing sound system then the 1000 is for you. If you don't care that much about car audio or plan to go aftermarket anyway then consider the 500 (so you have the extra sw enclosures in the doors). The price is also an obvious factor but I don't think the monthly $ difference is that signifigant when it goes into a car loan.

Hope that helps

Thanks Mike. The pix are awesome and really help me out. I had no idea that the subs were on the right side. The only time I'd need to carry anything in the trunk would be a set of clubs once a week. I'm in a golf league through work and we play once a week. The course is a half hour drive, all expressway, from work. I can't imagine a better ride up there than with the top down. It would kill me having to drive my everyday car on a nice day just because I couldn't fit the clubs in the trunk. I'm not into the whole aftermarket system....as long as there's a fairly decent system available from the factory. Sounds as if the 500 system will suffice. It's funny, a decent sound system is important to me, as I listen to it whenever I'm in the car. However, when I had my '68 Vette convertible, the radio was broken and yet I NEVER missed the tunes.....the exhaust system was all I needed to hear with the top down.....pure heaven.

One more stupid question....it seems as if the trunk space goes all the way to the back of the seats....I imagine that space gets used when the top goes down.

Thanks again...I really appreciate it.

The trunk space does not change when the top is down- you just dont have the option of folding down seats. The top folds down between the rear seats and the trunk wall.

I hope this is what you were asking...
