Erratic turn signal...
Anyone elses turn signal indicator in the dash go crazy sometimes?
i have never seen this before, but in my stang the turn signal light keeps NO beat.
it started out a very rare thing, but it is happening more and more. yesterday i was driving around the city, and i didnt make a single turn where the indicator kept any beat at all.
Anyone else?

The turn signal circuit is current sensing. This means that if a bulb is out, the flashing increases due to less load. Does the erratic flashing happen on both blinkers or only one? If both, I'd replace the flasher. If only on one side, I'd bet it's a bulb that's not making positive contact with the socket.

If a bulb is out then there is less resistance, therefore it takes longer for the amps to build up.
Ok, just went out and checked. If the noise is coming from a speaker, it is not the radio speakers. The clicking is definitely coming from the gauge cluster. Maybe there is a speaker back behind there somewhere, but for sure not coming from radio speakers.
Actually it decreases if a bulb is out. The flasher is simply a circuit breaker. When enough amps are built up, it clicks off, then back on. That is what turns the turn signal on and off.

Generated noise from speaker?? never noticed that, I'll have to go check now, I'm curious!!

If you have the message center the car beeps with every button press (on the 05s at least) however if you have the turn signal on, there are no beeps. They both use the same speaker. It is in the dash somewhere on the driver's side.
