I don't have any kids but I wouldn't let a teenager drive my 05 GT. No way.
If I had a teenage kid (which I never will), he/she would have to buy the car including insurance. He/She would then be able to drive it like they stole it and I wouldn't care.

I'm 24 but I have a little brother who is 17 and has never driven a car. I really would like to get him behind the wheel of this thing but i'm afraid the power might scare him and you know first time drivers...reach for the break and they hit the gas

The only person I let drive my Stang was my older brother...but he has been through racing schools. You should of seen the look on his face the first time he got in the 05GT. He couldn't believe it. First thing out of his mouth was holy $#$#! lol. Now this guy has a very high standard for performance automobiles...a big fan of Porsches, Ferraris, Aston Martin's ect...and he thought this car was the dogs bollox.

When my Mustang GT was delivered on June 1, 05, my 18 year old and I unwrapped her and I handed him the key! After making a big deal of me being the first to drive her, my salesman couldn't believe I let him drive her first! Truth be told, he's a much more cautious and responsible driver than I am. When I was his age I had wrecked 3 times, totaling a 5.0 on my 18th b'day. I guess it all depends on the kid.

If somebody asked me to drive their Mustang, of coarse I would say yes. But I wouldn't being doing anything stupid with it, as it is not mine, maybe give it a little gas as a stop light, but then let off when I reach the speed limit.
Me being 16, I am still learning, and just recently starting driving stick in my uncles A4 (Which I loved). He got me into Mustangs, when he owned a 93' Cobra. But I will be the first to admit I dont need a powerful car right now. It's not that I speed, but I am still developing a sense of my surroundings.
