Guys and Gals:

I pulled the trigger this week and finally placed an order with a large local dealership (actually took over an order from Feb. 3 that someone backed out of, changed to my option specs). I have the VOC and the dealer code (top right corner) indicates F27070...when I call Robo Lady she says to "say the 5 digit dealer code". I've tried F2707 and 27070 but neither seems to work. In particular when I clearly say 27070 it ignores the 2 and says I said 70700. I've done this a couple of times but it isn't working. Appears that perhaps 2 is invalid or maybe no dealer in the system starts with 2??? What do other dealer codes look like?? Are they digits only or have an alpha prefix??? Do "Southern" accents mess with Robo Lady??

The dealer is Sheehy Ford in Richmond VA perhaps one of you Ford insiders can check the dealer list and verify the dealer code???

I also requested the DORA and got the "deer in headlights" look from the Internet Sales Guy then when we went to a manager he says nothing will change from the VOC until it is serialized but they did confirm the order was in logging in to Conceps and had my name associated with it...I guess I'm ok

Thanks gang!
Greg (now officially a member of "The Wait")
ORDERED: GT Coupe, Redfire, Dk Charcoal Int, Manual Trans, IUP, Active Anti-Theft, Side Airbags

PM'd you about this, buddy. We're in a similar situation. Hope to have relevant developments by day's close. Cross your fingers for both of us! Heck, we might even cross paths around town!

Thanks Dustin...Chuckle...yes I was saying it that way but evidently I wasn't speaking loudly enough or the phone I was using had a bad pickup.

This morning I tried it again and speaking MUCH above my normal voice I finally got ERL to recognize my inputs and confirmed I'm still C/U. I'd equate my tone of voice to that I use with the kids when suddenly I saw a baseball, basketball or skateboard coming to close to my Jeep!!! (But only 1/2 of the same if it was my new pony!!!!)

Us Southern folks are just too soft spoken until you get us all riled up!!!

Anyway gang all I can say for voice recognition is what a pain!!! It would be a heck of a lot faster to accept touch-tone inputs or to provide the option to do it either way. I'm strongly in favor of making Order Status inquiry a part of the web site or allowing configuration of EMAIL updates but I guess that would be TMI as far as Ford is concerned.

...we now return you to to "The Wait"...

Hey Bob, I wanted to thank you for the link to the article (posts) regarding allocations, orders and scheduling. It was very informative. Now if I can only get a Ford dealership's SALES MANAGER to admit there's a difference between a VOC and a DORA!

Thanks again for your help.

I've got the same issue, a six digit dealer code instead of a five digit code that is requested by the computer lady. Is there an explanation for this?

I've had problems with my two's turning into six's... go figure.

We all are definitely getting lessons in annunciation.
