I hit a hundred a few times on the way from New Orleans to Houston back around Christmas. Most of the times I did it was accidental. My normal interstate cruising speed was 85-90. So, if I didn't look at the speedo for a while, and I was going down an overpass or bridge, I caught myself going like 105 a few times. This car is so smooth. Seems like the faster you go, the smoother it is.

Me too. Actually, the dealer told me to take it up to 100, to see how it rides.

My 05 isn't here yet, but I hit 100 every now and then; maybe once every few months in my 02. Usually from passing a line of 2 or 3 tanker truks on single lane highways.... pull it back into 4th, foot on the floor.

Like my momma always told me, "You might know how to drive it, you might no the roads by heart, but you never know about that kid or deer."

Have done it once so far. This is the kind of thing you shouldn't do very often cause the more often you go there, the better chance you have of getting caught.

Exercise intelligent control when it comes to letting your pony stretch it's legs.

I've had my Ranger up to 85 and it started loosing steam <_< . My bike (96 Buell S1 lightning) can easily break 100, but I've only done that once. Too many deer in my neck of the woods. When I test drove the Mustang I didn't push it, because it was someone elses, and I probably would have tried to trade for one that day instead of waiting on mine.

Any time I get a chance to get out on a straight farm road, I'm gonna punch it. I have yet to hit the governor, but I have been over 140 on multiple occasions. OH, and the rev limiter and the traction control are major buzz-kills.

111...darn limiter, was suprised it would do about 103/104 in 3rd gear though. Thats good for a mid to high 12 second run without going into 4th.

Had it up to 120 and the hood shake was pronounced. Hit 110 a few days later in fourth. I wonder if fourth would do 125.
