Didn't you know? That little excursion by the German Wermacht through Belgium into the heart of France was just a little "misunderstanding amongst friends".
Hey, is there a Crowe T. Robot anywhere on TMS? MST3K forever!

France is practically a suburb of Germany..... That's why France and Germany have always been allies. :Eruo trip:

some of the posts on this thread made me think of that, i just thought it was funny.

"France and Germany have always been allies"????!!!???.....where did you hear that?...on "Jaywalking" with Jay Leno?

Scotts friend was telling him that they were on a bus to france when the were really going to berlin. Scott freaks out and his friend says "Don't worry, France is practically a suburb of Germany, That's why they have always been allies."

I think it would be fitting if all you "buy American" types would vow to buy only American oil products from now on. Yeah. I say BOYCOTT FOREIGN OIL. Park your Mustang in the garage under a tarp. That will show them furriners.
Amen, brother. Very well said.
[/b][/quote]

Hey, I'm all for it!!! I'd love to buy American Oil, we produce a lot of it. Did you know Oil is one of our top 5 EXPORTS!!! We could have even more, but the Democrats won't let Bush open up Alaska more!

There, now you've done it. Condemned another thread to death by mentioning politics!

Yeah, who cares about Mother Earth anyway? Clean air and water are soooo overrated. (sarcasm)

I have learned a lot from you two on this forum and I want to thank you for that but, don't drink any more of the Kool-Aid! Buy American own American made.
More idiotic prattle. It was just a matter of time.

Hey Tony, you're my hero!

What the heck is Danny boy blathering about? Waxes political any time anyone mentions "import." Pretty funny. Miserable sort. Cracks me up. I might have to un-ignore him one of these days. He might say something worthwhile... nah, just kidding.

Vodka good! Have you brought the 'Stang up to 140 again lately? :drive:

145mph (or so it said) actually, weekend before last. Officially hit the limit, nice thing is it's not a harsh limiter like others. It just quits pulling.

Don't bag on Dan, he likes Mustangs, at least we can agree on that point

Still but I must follow through...

I cannot think of any roads in Virginia that would be suitable for traveling those speeds. Lucky you; you've got all that space to play with out west! I've only brought my Audi up to 105 mph, on a stretch of interstate I knew to be in the clear and devoid of cops. And then, only briefly. Weird how quiet it was. Didn't seem any different than say 85 mph. You drove in the dark, no?

I hear ya... I respect you so I will retract my tail, horns, forked tongue and cloven hooves.

Has this thing been on topic since page 2 ? I wonder if it will make it to page 9

Ok you asked, I'll answer.... The first run I did up to that speed the day of delivery was indeed at night. 2 weekends ago it was during the day.

I hear ya on the suitable roads thing. Not everyone has the luxury of having every type of driving condition available on lightly traveled roads. And kudos to you for recognizing that difference.

There are plenty of times I don't feel safe driving at those kind of speeds! I must be doing something right, I haven't had any kind of traffic ticket in decades, and I don't believe in radar

Talking

Man! this one has change all kinds of ways.
It's a very difficult journey, buying a GT Mustang right now.
Here in Hawaii, no dealer will except Xplan on a GT right now.
I can't blame anyone for not waiting. It's been over 3 months for me
and mines getting built this week!
So which ever road anyone takes, be it your choice!
Happy Trails!!

You're absolutely right, however the recurring theme involves patience! It seems a lot of peolpe have waited an absurd amount of time, while others have had their order filled relatively quickly. The wait is what drives people nuts!

I'm glad you're car is being assembled this week. You must be psyched!

Of course, living in Hawaii must be nice too. The lack of winter gloom probably helps you deal with the delays in production better than someone in say, Michigan. "Lost" is filmed there; man, you've got some nice scenery in Hawaii! I've got to get there some day.

SixtySix: I remember reading that you drove that fast in the dark! I would have been worried about a coyote or roadrunner (maybe a jackalope lol) darting in front of my car and SPLAT!

The other thing I'd worry about is tires giving out at those speeds (even though they're rated for higher speeds). Yikes! That's the worst; trying to explain a one-car accident!

Gotta ask. How many times did you change your order? You mentioned that "I went in to just change my car back to interior upgrade," so that means after you placed your order you already went in and changed the interior and now went in again to make another change. Each time you do this sets back the date it will be built. I ordered mine in May and a friend ordered his in July. I made 2 changes to mine. He got his in October, mine arrived end of November. Mine would have been here the same time as his if not earlier, if I had not made any changes.

Your dealer may be a door **** but you also have to take into consideration any changes you make to your order MAY bump your order.
