What was everyone's experience with how soon you got a firm build date? I've had a build week on oct 6th and have had the same ERL message ever since. my car is being built sometime next week!

Nothing changes until the car is locked in for production and built.

Cyoon's right - but if you are getting built next week, then you should hear the ERL tell you that you are "locked in" any day now...of course, though, because of unforseen commodity holds that occured after I was locked in, none of it was accurate. Your case may be better than mine!

thanks for the info. I don't have anything crazy, just IUP and manual tranny - any commodity delays on those?

I've heard, possibly personally experienced, that there is some difficulty with supply of the manuals. IUP no issues this year.

ERL changed her tune today and says, "As of 10/25/05, your vehicle will be built week of 10/24/05 with an estimated delivery date of 11/11/05." Some progress I guess, but the as of date is confusing.

From what I've seen, and I'm certain I'll be corrected if wrong, when the "as of" date is later than the "build week" date, the "as of" date is the actual build day.

Yeah, I had something similar. ERL is saying, "as of 10/26 your unit is scheduled to be built the week of 10/24". Can anyone else confirm that the "as of" date is actually the build date?
