hey rick were not talking about racing grandma on the way to the grocery store, come to the track where real men race. if its money want i got it. that little 20 horsepower u got does not put u in the modified class, a real racer would know this. i will put my stock car against yours any day.

well i think im done with this thread, rick sent me a ugly email, this was all in fun and games, i guess some people cant handle it. some people dont understand allthe different variance"s in cars , manual vs auto, gear ratios, weight differances in car and driver, driver experiance, u cant prove your car is faster on the street, there is too many safety issues racing on the street, alot of people wont run there car hard on the street, for that reason, the track is the only way to go. a few people has shown the numbers between the auto & manual , numbers dont lie. hey rick if stock cars are for girls , i guess u were a girl for the first year u owned your car.

Jeeze dude... Having a hard time understanding that track numbers is how we (the majority) measure speed? I posted pure numbers based on the machines being used... which discredited your claim. Posted a race which discredited your claim. Have yet to see anything except a lot of talking coming from your end.

You are joking around right? Everyone knows that REAL MEN only drive manual transmissions. If your preference is to ride like the “lady’s” with an Automatic transmission rather than drive like the real men with a manual transmission, that’s cool, but please don’t try and BS us about it…

So what this thread is trying to say... in a nutshell, is that Grabber Orange GTs are the fastest because the beautiful color gives others instant jealousy causing miss shifts and inferiority complexes (to include automatics)?

IMHO, key work "opinion", GO is the worse collor for a mustang. I rank White as No.1 (for a CS), then Black (No.1 for a regular GT), and the others fall behind, but the GO is the last in my book.

I actually think that in the hours of limited visability Black is faster. In the light however i have to admit that white is faster. When it comes to the regular GT, It's slower than any color Cali special.

First,let me Qualify that I don't watch Jerry Springer. If I did watch it, that would imply (at least to me) that I need to get a life! On the other hand, we on this thread DO have a life! We own (or at least I hope ) Mustangs! 
But all I hear is bicker bicker bicker ! What color is faster,- a GT/CS is faster than a GT,- all good conversation, but lost friendships--are you serious?! If they keep that up, I'm liable to start chanting " JERRY_JERRY_JERRY !!!
( the only reason I know that about the show is that I watched 1 episode.... at gunpoint.) But seriously,an automatic can OUT-SHIFT a stick and is more consistant in every way that's important to this topic,but is it faster time-wise....? Looking at 2 identically geared cars, one an automatic the other a stick,the auto-car has more HP loss than the stick car through the drivetrain. Horse-power generally wins on the quarter mile, but not always. Rear gears play into the equation. If both cars were 3.31 or even 3.55 I would lean towards the stick for the win at the traps. Both cars with 3.73-4.10-4.30 gears I lean towards the auto car for the win in the first 60 feet of the race and holding off the stick car the length of the track for the win. Oh, and by the way, Dark Candy Apple Red is by far the fastest color... you can see it just standing still !
