Better & easier way to reset the ECM

When the need to reset the ECM/PCM, such as relearning the throttle, or auto trans adaptive values, many are disconnecting & reconnecting the battery. This does the job, but results in loss of radio presets. A better way to do this & keep the radio presets is to pull & reinstall fuse 45 (red 10A) under the hood, which is keep alive power for the ECM. It also requires no tools (if your fingers are small enough), and no danger of arc welding by accidentally shorting the cables.

Just my 2 cents...

My radio presets never go away.

I've even had the battery and alternator replaced, with the battery out for over an hour.

Me thinks there's a secret SECOND battery hidden in the car...right next to that hidden GPS unit that controls our minds and tells the government how much gas we buy!

Time wait would be the same, maybe a minute to be safe. Also should be done with the key off.

On some vehicles, a power fail it will clear stored codes. Not the case for the '05 & up Mustangs. These codes are stored in non-volatile memory.
