How much do you think I could sell my car for?

So, I'm going to grad school and I may look at selling my car to get something more fuel efficent and not have a car payment. I have an 06 auto mustang GT premium version with SCT XCal2 tuner, C&L racer intake, American racing long tube headers, Ford racing 3.73 gears, Cervini's full side exhaust with matching side skirts and rear valance, Cerivini's duck tail wing, Cervini's window scoops and side scoops, and Cervini hood. Basically, everything but the front bumper kit. Professionally painted and clearcoated racing stripes. Redline tuning hood struts, sequential tail lights, custom matching leather armrest cover, BBR motor mounts, 20" chrome cobra replica wheels, and a few other extras. VMPtuning and Bamachip tunes installed. Car serviced every 3000miles, only 9348 current miles, never race, Perfect condition, gargage kept, non smoker. How much should I ask for this? It's got about $8 to 9000 put into her.

There was a member around here that had to sell his recently.
He had trouble and sold it to the local dealer.
It had fewer miles no stripes, hood, side exhaust or wheels.
More interior upgrades than yours.
Dealer's asking price $19,999.
Keep your car.
Price of gas is going up, retail GT prices going down.
If you ask more than 23K you'll probably get to keep it anyway.

i think a good idea might be to part it out and than sell that way you are more likely to get back some of the money you put in. and by the looks of it some of those parts would go fast on TMS. I would be interested in more than one.

I would be willing to take American racing long tube headers, Ford racing 3.73 gears, Cervini's full side exhaust with matching side skirts and rear valance, Cerivini's duck tail wing, If everything was in good condition and if we could work out a combo deal or something. Sorry i know this thread isnt about you selling parts, but just thought i would offer

A dealer just offered me $24,000 for my 08 Vista blue 1500 miles. Was thinking of trading it on on a vert but decided against it.

$19k kinda seems a bit low, was your friends high mileage or something?

The car in question is 2 years older than yours.
So was the local guy's.
Big difference in the car business.
Think about it. Your is worth 24K NOW.
What will yours be worth in 2 years even with 9K mi.?

As compared to what?
Remember, every day we talk about car value the the price of crude oil goes up.
The value of late model V8 cars goes down.
The big V8 SUVs are selling for 7K under trade in at the auction now around here.

Also keep in mind geographical area. I have seen a good 3-5 grand difference from west coast to east coast.

In my area people dont worry about gas or getting ripped off, one guy paid 27,500 for an '05 GT with 20k on th odo, at the dealership about a month ago. He could have bought an 08 with the same options for 28,000 at sticker

Speaking on all of this

It must be easy now to get a GT500 @ MSRP i.e. no dealer markup

I tried for 6 months to sell an 06 GT, private party. Ended up getting $20k from Car Max. Dealers can provide financing and usually some amount of warranty which makes it hard to sell a late model used car privately. If you advertise a late model Mustang for sale you will get lots of useless responses from mostly idiots that want you to finance the sale for them. If you advertise on the internet you will receive offers of "guaranteed sale within 48 hours" if you will just give them a credit card number so they can charge you $200 or whatever. If possible I would advise you to keep your car.......
