Anyone recieved any BAD comments
I just had to ask this question because up until a week ago i had recived nothing but great comments from people! Then all of a sudden I am getting gas and tell the cashier i am the red mustang(so i can pay for my gas) and she says "is that one of them new Mustangs" and i answer her saying "yes ma'am" and all she has to say is "They look so Strange!" i couldn't beleive her! i asked her what she said agian( just incase i misunderstood her) and she answered that time saying how weird they looked! Then yesterday i brought my grandma to the post office and as i sat there waiting for her to return a girl next to me looked over and ROLLED HER EYES! Maybe i am just taking the critizm to hard but i can't imagine anyone not liking this car...maybe they were just jealous, but someone needs to make them watch Bambi so they can learn if you can't say anything nice not say anything at all!
Anyone else had any bad comments from people?
P.S. I did a search on bad comments and recieved none concerning this but i accidentally placed this topic in the which is better catagory( Because that was where the results from my search came from) So if someone could lock that topic it would be greatly appriciated! Thanks

Strange is a bad comment? It’s not like she knows anything about the car or its history anyway. She didn't really say anything like "wow that car stinks." If she had, thats a bad comment.
As for Sixtysix, that’s just jealousy, nothing more.

hurt my feelings enough to be a bad comment
Jealousy, Pure Jealousy! Well that's all that was in your case Sixty Six.
As forthe Girl Behind the Counter at the gas station, I dont know how old she was, or what her background is, but she probably just doesn't know much about Mustangs or Cars for that fact. She might not be old enough to remember Classic Stangs. I mean heck the Fox Body came out in 79 There are Lots of People/Kids today that Consider the Fox cars The Only Real Mustangs, cause that's all they grew up seeing.
You also have to take into consideration the Proportions of the New Stang. Look at Most Cars on the road today, we are just getting away from the Cab Forward Look, and The Dash to front axle ratio (The Space Between the Front of the Door and the Back Of the Wheel Opening on the front fender) on the 05 Mustang is Considerably Longer than Most Cars today or in the Last 20-30 years. I LOVE this about the New MustangI wouldn't let her comment Bother You.
As for the woman at the Post Office? Who Know's

Well, I quit long ago worrying about what other people think. Being warm and fuzzy and pc is a waste of time. However, having the car a month, I have been surprised at the people who come up and ask if that is the new Mustang, check it out and make positive comments about it as well as talking about a Stang they once had. Since the car is MG with the red interior, its not everybody's idea of the color they like but I don't view that as negative. I have noticed that only a few 04, etc Mustang drivers will give you a wave, etc
I have heard probably a thousand good comments. But I did have a dude on a bicycle tell me he did not like it cause he thought the new body style was ugly and his uncle had an Impala SS that would smoke me, I just said "Nice Bike!" and laughed.
After all these years,
My C/T still sucks!

I tend to get lotsa road rage from other 05s on the roads. Maybe cause I drive mine like I stole it. Or they believe they have the only one.
I have had nothing but good comments- last one I got was that is the most beautiful car I have ever seen. Wanna trade?
I have two 05 friends, and multiple 05 enemies.
We take for granted that others know the history about round head lights, 1/4 windows, billets, spinners, and the like. But some people, especially women, don't. So when they see a '05 Mustang, their first reaction could be that the car looks strange to them. It is not an insult, just that some car designs, like our nogstalgic beauty, may take some time for these people to warm up to. Be patient, and most will come around.
Remember, there's no accounting for taste, so some may never appreciate the '05. It is an unrealistic expectation that everybody will love the styling of the '05. I know some that like Gen4 better.
Those that don't, oh well, too bad for them.

I was talking to my wife's nieces the other day (16 and 19). Both drive Aleros. I told them I was ordering a Cobra Mustang as soon as I could. They both said the new Mustangs are hideous. They are kind of Ricer/Rap mentality. I thought about tellilng them they weren't allowed to step foot in my yard anymore.
I have received no bad or negative comments or reactions. Even guys in Camaros and Corvettes like the car and have given me the thumbs up. I guy in a Chevy p/u actually followed me almost a mile and pulled into the Subway parking lot to look at the car upclose and tell me how much he liked it.
And on a different note... and this doesn't have much to do with this topic other then relating to how this car makes others react. But I didn't want to start a new thread on it. This morning on the way to work, a Honda Civic was backing up into a driveway and I was coming towards them in the opposite lane. I watched the guy stare at my car in awe as he backed up and missed the driveway by about 3 feet and went right into the ditch. I was just shocked at first but had to laugh. So, does that count as a bad reaction to this car?
