I went to my dealership yesterday and he told me that one of the people who ordered a 05' Stang had there order bumped off. He told me that mine was safe and went trough. I was just wondering if anyone knew why that would have happen.....

 

There were reports of certain colors and options being delayed until January or so.

It could be that this person ordered either a Legend Lime or a v6 with a manual trans. What did you order?

 

My original scheduled date was changed from 8/23 to 9/7. As of last night my status was changed from "Sub to plant" to "locked in". I believe this means no changes can be made to order at this time. B) B)

 

do all of the dealers typically have the status report of the car? or is there another way we can check?

 

You used to able to the use the VOPC system, but it is restricted to dealers only. I go see my dealer each week for my status report. They get reports daily.

 

I just called my dealer. He has no new info for me. But he was so impressed with my knowledge (all gained from this site), that he offered me a job.

Too bad I already have a nice paying job.

 

I got the same thing (about the knowledge thing). Between here and Stang.net the Internet Sales Manager at the dealership I ordered mine through was amazed.

However, the first dealership I called, said the Mustang GT wasn't available until February. So, either I believed him, or the hundreds of people on this site. I'm glad I didn't believe him. Perhaps he got sh!^ canned and that was the job you were offered.

 

One of our employees ordered a V6 coupe monday with a manual tranny and it already has a "mat hold" status. NO SOUP FOR YOU!
