Just curious.

I've noticed a lot of people who have been built ordered their cars May-July. I haven't seen anyone in August pop up yet. I still have no VIN, no build, no patience.

 

It'll happen.... I didn't order until last week..imagine my wait time, I'll be jeolous of you before too long!

 

I ordered on Labor Day. Nothing yet. So I sit here looking at this board wondering when my time will come.

 

Just imagine those of us that are waiting on the vert...I can't even order one yet, production doesn't start for months...ahhhhh. Okay, I am alright, really.

 

I ordered on May 25th. I still have no VIN, build date etc.. Patience, as well as my hair, is growing thin. I know I am in a different boat than most people in here because I am in Canada but come on FORD....give me some sort of hope that I will be getting my car in October.

 

I bet your dealer squeezed a couple orders for themselves ahead of yours. Mine has 2 ahead of me and only one was sold before mine. They are still saying late October for me. I just got my VIN yesterday

 

My dealer has 5 on order and mine was placed third. Apparently he says they don't have VIN's for any of them.

 

All I have gotten so far is the price after taxes, license, fees. And no, you don't want to know......

You have to pay to play. No wife, no kids, no house payments, I guess that I have SOME benefits going for me.

I don't want to keep haggling the dealer, but you know how the wait goes. I've only been waiting for 6 weeks, but it seems like months!!

 

I ordered July 7 and still have no information. I'm pretty sure the dealer is screwing me over. They say mine is for sure the second Mustang ordered but if that is the case how could they still not have anything from Ford???

 

Have they even told you if it was "clean and unscheduled"? Or just nothing at all? That's messed up!! I was told 8-10 weeks after I ordered, I would be able to come pick it up. I'm getting more nervous than anything.

I have to set up bank loan, sell my other car, etc. etc. so I would like SOME kind of timeline. At least I have pricing, so I can do the bank thing, but I'd like to find a buyer for my car, so it's not sitting there with a "For Sale" sign in my driveway, where no one will see it. And I'm not parking it in a high volume area, because this is Arizona, and I will get no return for a stolen car.

 

The dealer says... "Ford hasn't pulled the order into their system yet, hopefully next week". This is exactly what they have said every week since July 7th.

 

My dealer put in the order on tuesday 09/21. I had gone to the dealership yesterday and he told me that, he will get the DORA in about 8-10 days and usually 2-3 weeks after the DORA i should get a VIN and build date.
He has been telling me 8-12 weeks till i get my car, so I am hoping i get a great christmas gift.

 

I ordered on 8/9 and haven't gotten any news... Well, other than when my dealer called and told me that production had started (about 10 days after Job 1)... and no, he didn't mean the production of my car.

 

Ordered on 8/17 and I have nothing but (to quote my salesman) "a partial serial number." I do have some hope, though.... I think my dealer is prety clueless when it comes to the ordering process, so I have a feeling my car may show out of the blue, especially due to the fact that there is only one other order for a 2005 Mustang in the dealership. He did call me up last weekend to make sure I really wanted the IUP because they had gotten the letter that there might be a delay for people who want the IUP.
If I don't get a call by next week (Oct. 1st), I'll give them a call, check on the status of my VIN#/build date.
I'm an actor/stuntman at Six Flags GA for Fright Fest and I want to show off my Mustang before the end of the Parks season!!!! (last week of October)

 

Ordered mine on 8/27- dealer just called this morning and has vin #- faxing it to me so I'll pick it up today at work - no build date - he said to call back in a couple weeks for a delivery date!

 

Great Adventure? I'm sorry

... Look on the bright side though, you're going to have the world's tallest and fastest broken rollercoaster next year. :notnice:
