Hey guys, just wondering if anybody else has run into this before. I have been playing the radio and have left it on when I shut the car off. When I turn the car back on I sensed a surge or something and the radio came back up on AM chanel, the time was gone and it was sounding like it was doing a diagnostic on the CD player. Has anybody else run into this? Is this the beginning of a deeper electrical problem or is it this another "radio" problem as it's one of the first GT's to come out last year? It's real annoying losing the clock time.

It sounds like the radio has lost power somewhere. When I was messing with that crazy PIE adapter and had to unhook the power harness, thats how it acted when it came back on. It would go through each CD like it was resetting them or something. The preset stations would remain good unless the radio was unhooked for a period of time.

I'd get the head unit replaced first before worrying about anything else in the electrical system. If they test the connection for the constant power and it is working fine best bet is the radio is a dud. The constant power line is what feeds the radio when the ignition is turned off so you don't lose your presets, time, etc.
