Afraid to park in public?
I bought a new C6 last year. When it arrived the car was flawless.
I had hoped my wife would drive it but we were both afraid to put the 1st mark on it.
I had twice pulled the wheels off so I could shine the under carriage and decided it had to go or I was going to need medication.
Bought the Stang this spring and dont worry at all.

I always worry and have never gotten over it. Never been doored. Sideswiped in my own driveway by my own wife, yes.
But never doored. If I did get scratched or doored I would probably be ****ed for months. I pay good money and love my cars...I want them to look good.
Anyway, I park in the sticks. Find the end of the parking lot, no other cars around and park there. Its good exercise anyway so I win both ways. Even then....every once in a great while....I will come out and a car will be parked RIGHT up next to me

I might be paranoid
I had my car for over a year now, but I ALWAYS park in the spot furthest away from the place I want to go... Just to be safe...
Not Sunday, though... Went to Starbucks and sat outside, had a parking space on the street right in front of me, and believe me, I did not enjoy my coffee !
Every time a car approached the empty spot in front of my car, I was on the edge of my seat and when a what-seemed-like 87 year-old in a huge sedan tried to park for 5 minutes I jumped up and was ready to throw myself in between the cars...
Not literally though...
