I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the puny tires.

255/45-18's will match up, they're less than 6mm shorter.

I mentioned the tires before, somewhere, but more towards Which tires are they gonna be? New rim photos, bullits, and fanblades, both feature the Goodyear RS-A. Much better tire over the BF'gs

not much wider on the 45's vs 50's tho. Id rather have a little more rim protection with the 50's. 45's Just hit too hard(bumps), and not much sidewall to protect the rims.

These are The Service Wheels! I have them in Stock! They would have to be polished to look like The Show wheels!
I'm sure that they will have the shinyness.
But they will NOT have the same depth.

The show wheels are a lot more concave then the production ones.

There is still more conflicting info on Ford's media site regarding these wheels.
Brad,

Can you confirm that what the plant said about the bullitts (64W, not 64e) is accurate? The suspense is driving me crazy!

I think Brad's holding back so he can say "I was right all along". If thats the case, great then I have the correct wheels ordered and they are not late availability (bullits).

I just looked at the order guide again, and the guide says 64E Polished aluminum wheel and the 64W Premium aluminum wheel.

If the fanblades come like kevin showed, then the description for 64W makes sense, they can't call it polished because most of the wheel is painted. This would also make sense for the bullit description because we know that wheel is going to be polished for sure. So maybe what Brad has posted is correct.

Isellford, or one of you sales guys, do you know when you are going to get an updated order guide from Ford with the pictures of the wheels?

I might as well add to the joy everyone else is feeling - I ordered the 64E's and don't understand the "polished" description under this new reversal of codes. Why would they call it polished and polish part and paint the rest?? I called Ford and talked to a few people about a week ago when I ordered my 06GT and the only thing they could tell me is that the website will change to 06 from 05 under "build your ford" on August 5th - I couldnt wait that long and they still might not know at that point and you usually can't tell on thier site anyway. I just don't understand with all these members and Ford connections that this is such a mass of confusion!!!! --- A Frustrated 06GT Orderer

I suppose if you are willing to wait for the 64W then I guess this is really an issue that should get resolved... for me I'm not willing to wait so I really don't care which one I get because either way I'm not going to wait

Right off my DORA, it says "64E 18" BRIGHT MACHINED PNTD ALUM"

So, if you want to call "machined" polished, fine, but it sure does say "PNTD" which can only mean painted aluminum.

Hey, I wanted those polished bullitts too, but I'm not willing to wait for them.

I was just referring to "polished" per the 06 order guide, my DORA says the same thing for 64E as everyone else.

Good point. My DORA came after the order guide, so I wonder which is a more accurate description? I guess we'll finally know when the Ford website starts showing the '06 Mustang. Heck, by then, I might already be driving mine!

The order guide is older (and likely has been updated already to reflect the more detailed wheel descriptions) - the descriptions on your DORA are the ones you should go by.
