Is ford discontinuing the 17" wheel upgrade that they had for 05, or is that an upgrade too on the 06's?

 

I like both wheels! the chrome on bullitts is hot

According to the '06 Order Guide, the 17" upgrade wheel (64D) will still be available.

 

At least you get a choice!!! Canada we get only the 18 64e! For the longest time I thought I was getting Fanblades but now, I am getting Bullits soon Ford will change something and I'll get 13' hub caps from a Chevy Cobalt!

 

I'm sure we'll get the fanblades soon enough.

 

Discount Tire has a cool Tire Caclulator that shows the differences between two tire sizes. I ran the 17in and 18in for comparison, they are essentially the same so I don't think any speedometer changes are needed. They say they will do some suspension tuning but don't know exactly what.

 

Ok, I take my rant back. These do look a whole lot better in your photos than the media photo. Sooo...change my order to 64W's and I'll wait. And wait. And...wait.

But - I still think the Bullitts will outsell the Fanblades based on those media pictures. If that's what goes in the catalog, the average buyer isn't going to think twice about the fanblades. I showed those pictures to my wife, who doesn't care about wheels at all ("as long as they go round and round..." ) , but she said the fanblades "look cheap" compared to the Bullitts. You call that an upgrade??? Hey Ford - get a better picture for the brochure if you expect to sell any...

To bad they (Ford) won't offer the Bullitts in the current color of the 17" Bullitts. I would be all over that.

leather from katzkin! I was starting to worry I had fanblades but thankfully I am
getting the bullits. I'll change the wheels after the tires wear out anyway. Are you
sure you wanna "wait" for those fanblades? You may end up with a 2007
You could always add kelly-green racing stripes - I haven't seen that yet. I'm
going for red or blue.......and I'll have plenty of time to decide.

actually, i meant change my order so that i can get rid of any upgraded rims all together. no point in paying for upgraded rims that i'm not going to like at all! i'll just have to suffer with 17s until i can afford the ones i want.

Yup stinks....we keep getting stiffed.

But as they say, built it and they will come. Hasn't stopped the Stang buying crazyness.

Personally...i'd like to see the Blue interior option on the 2006. I'll wait for next summer...it would be nice surpirse. they are coming out with the dark alluminum interior, who knows what else is in stock.

Better be worth my wait, if i have to sit tight till winter passes.

 

So have we finally figured out if the picture is the actual wheel or if the wheel will be painted "midnight silver?"

 

The bullitt rim will be offered in both polished and midnight silver finishes from what Brad said.

If I'm going to get painted Bullitts I might as well go for the standard 17'' ones and save $735 invoice.
