Lol, that is not my wife, just one of the mechanics that's working on my car.

This is my wife.

lol Yea I know, you've posted some pictures of the wife before. She's awesome too just for the fact that she likes Mustangs. Most women just want to drive around in some rolling appliance like a Camry or an Accord. You got a woman who actually has taste in cars. Hang on to that one.

I knew the other girl must have been a mechanic, still awesome just the same. If you see her at the shop again tell I said she's alright with the Mustang guys. lol

Well I went and picked the thing up last night, let it run for 10 minutes while I talked to the mechanic. Checked, no leaks or fluids so I got in and headed home. About halfway home steam was pouring from under the hood. I checked and coolant was pouring out. Unfortunately, it was dark so I couldn't tell where, but it looks like possibly the water pump. Not sure.

That's what I was gonna guess...the thermostat housing is easy to crack, so be careful.

The 4.0 motor is notorious for thermostat housing failure.

The plastic is just easy to crack if you over-tighten the bolts. I'm sure it just gets worse over time.

Drove it to work today and it seems to be doing well.

Turns out the thermostat they had ordered online for me was not a good one. Got a cheapo one from O'reily's auto for now just to get it driveable. I will replace with the better one later.

Nice to see you got it back on the road. Looks like some hard work, and a little bad luck. Best of luck from here forward.
