Here's some definitive answers, courtesy of my new '06 I'm no tire buff, so I'm not even sure what "KWDS" stands for... but here's a massive pic of my new 18's with fanblades:

It's KDWS... not sure what the K is for, but the D, W, S are for "D"ry, "W"et, "S"now, and describe what conditions the tires are good in.

To compare, I have the g-force KDW (good in Dry and Wet, but not meant for Snow).

Dan, just because I choose not to post doesn't make me stupid. I realize that you are moderator, however when a salesman states that they are not KDW's it makes you wonder who is correct. Just asked a question, because of the dicrepensies between the posts that I read. No hard feelings, but make sure you read all the posts yourself.

No need to get defensive...

The tires had been confirmed in other threads, but people who have 06s with the 18-inch wheels.

Now you can pass along the correct info to your salesperson as well... don't you just love when that's necessary?

And welcome to the board!

I'm sorry if I came across as offensive as I truely didn't intend to insult you. I was just pointing out that I clearly stated the type of tire three posts before you asked. I was 100% positive on the tires so I stated it as fact. I was left to assume that either a) you missed my post (hense the humour) or b ) you didn't believe me.

Anyways, I appologize if my humour offended you at all.....however, take some advice from me who has been here a while, you need to have a bit thicker skin sometimes especially on message boards.

Welcome to the boards You can always think of that as initiation I guess

Cheers,
Dan

the "K" stand for Key concept or Key feature. BFG has released both phrases in literature.

For example -

Mud-Terrain KM

Key feature - Mud
