New to the forum and have searched for an answer to my problem and cant trouble shoot it...The passenger window will come down when i push the switch but it will not work after that until i shut the ignition off then start the car...when i restart it the window automatically comes up..at that point it will not come back down for a few minutes then when it does it stays down again...The window movement for door open and close works fine...i get the same results with either switch...when the window is coming down i can stop and start it in the downward direction ...until it reaches the bottom then it is dead again.
I have tried the owners manual reset and unhooking the battery while the window is moving and these don't seem to correct it....i have reaD THAT A VOLTAGE DROP, could cause this but it is only the passenger window so i have kind of ruled that out.....I took the car out or storage yesterday and the window was fine....24 hours later the driver side window moved on its own a little and the passenger window has these issues..any ideas would be much appreciated.thanx

 

I'm guessing its a bad switch. it might take a little work but take the swap the passengers side switch to the drivers side and see what happens. or you could probably pick up a swith from the junk yard for a buck or two. Is your battery fully charged?

Oh by the way welcome to TMS hope ya stick around after you get your problem fixed. Have you done any mods to your ride?

 

Thank you ...no real mods as of yet...Its the pony package vista blue metallic and I put white racing stripes on it.. I am looking at a bama tune and a cold air intake... only have about 2500o miles on it due to the short summers here.. I am a little hesitant to spend too much on performance mods with the v6...New exhaust might not be a bad idea..
