Wont start.
Wont start.
Well as the title states my car won't start and I need some help. It is a 2004 Mustang GT. I just replaced the transmission and now it start. It cranks but won't fire. I've tried a different battery, replaced the injectors, coils and plugs. Tested the fuel pump and still nothing. But I did test the ignition too and I'm not getting any power to the coils themselves. Any help as to what would cause no power to the ignition system?
Lights come on w/ key inserted and "bing-bing" sound? I would say get a battery w/ some serious cold cranking amps but you already got a new battery. Hmmm, check the electric wire harness. Might be an exposed wire grounding out that's just been rubbed Raw. Go thur ALL your fuses! Pull 'em out one at a time, if not blown, reset firmly back in place. One non-significant fuse could be the culprit.
Get that alternator checked out too. Use baking-soda w/ water and/or coca-cola to clean the battery terminal area. It'll get them squeaky clean!

Hey thanks everyone for the input and suggestions of where and what to check. Cause it made me look back over everything and I had forgot to plug the crank position sensor back in. Stupid mistake but again thankyou everyone.

Yeah it's the little things that drive you crazy. Like now it has a miss like its misfiring as you just cruise. But if you accelerate it doesn't do it. I have changed the plugs, COP's, fuel injectors and it still acts like it has a misfire. The computer is not calling any codes and I've noticed that when the car is first started and cold it doesn't do it. It only stumbles after the motor has warmed up. I even tried turning the EGR off to see if it might be stuck but still the same. Any thoughts anyone??
