Steeda Bumpsteer Kit
Steeda Bumpsteer Kit
How do I know how far to screw on the bumpsteer kit? I also replaced the inner tie rods with MOOG tie rods...unaware of how far to screw them on so I don't have the tires facing 2 completely different directions. I need as much help as possible!
I usally measure from the lock nut to the center of the endand try to get the new one as close to that as possible. probably net a bad idea to get a front end alignment after you replace these parts. Why did you get a bump steer kit?
Unfortunately I just realized the MOOG inner rod is an inch and a half shorter than factory and I called American muscle and they said its supposed to be installed while on an alignment machine? Really confused now. I got the bumpsteer kit because I'm trying to pretty much upgrade all steering and suspension mods for now. Trying to make my cobra perfect one say haha
If my memory serves me right the 93-earlier and 94-04 inner tie rods are different.
The fox body piece is around 11 1/2 inches and the 94-04 is 13 1/4. If you were sold Moogs the right part number should have been EV127, with the 13 1/4 inch length I mentioned.
You may have the wrong inner tie rods.
