Merged the topic in, because of overlap .. and so it could stay in the SN-95 area :P

Anyway ...

That is one wicked ride and the price seems right! Please send payment details. And, can you ship to Houston, TX?
We'll see if we get a response to HIM, as I still haven't from the other.

Hi JD, I must say I'm overwhelmed by the number of emails I got from
interested buyers after listing the car on Yahoo Autos, Ebay Motors and
Autotrader, hundreds really! I must cut off the chat so I hope I will
cover here all the aspects of this purchase and answer to all questions
you might have. The car is in perfect, like-new condition and comes
with a clear title. There is a reason of selling it for such a low
price but I'm not willing to discuss it in public so please don't ask.
It's a private matter that concerns only me and my family. The bottom
line price is $5000 as shown in the listing page and on top of that I
need the money fast so whoever will accept my offer and respond faster
will get it.
I would like to use a third party to handle this transaction for our
both safety and comfort. Yahoo offers a third party service for their
premium members for a small fee. As a Yahoo Autos premium member I can
apply for their service and would be willing to pay for their fee if
you agree using their escrow service. I must contact Yahoo Autos to
initiate the transaction and will need the following piece of
information from you:

- your first and last name
- your shipping address
- your email address
- your contact phone number

They will contact you right after that with further instructions on
how to complete the transaction on your side. Before you send me that
info you'll first have to agree with the terms of escrow transaction:

- shipping and paperwork will be handled by Dependable Auto Shippers
- after you will receive the car you have 3 business days for
inspection
- I will pay for the shipping fees
- I will pay for the Yahoo Autos fees
- total price you have to pay is $5000

If you agree with the terms and have the money ready, not waiting for
a loan or financing, please send me your details so I can start the
Yahoo transaction.

Best regards.

I actually got a response to the last one. Not sure I am going to respond to it, mainly because I don't know of an "free" email that'll mask my home IP address.

I've for a question. The address/location of the car is listed as being right in my area. Does everybody see the location as being in Jacksonville, FL 32212?

Yup, and judging from the pics, it looks like its in a dealership if you are talking about the 05.

Well "IF" it isnt a scam of some sort and is legit and it is all good....anybody that doesnt have 5k on them to buy the car is an idiot. Buy for 5k then turn around and sell it for 25k....can we say mega return. Now of course this is "IF" this is legit and probably not for some under-the-blanket reason that no one can see.

Like someone said, the pictures looks to be taken from a dealership....but we all know you can a get picture like that off google.com in 10seconds. Why not list it at 10k. Still questionable cheap but looks better and get more money back.

Any car that is sold for 1/3 or 1/4 of its resell value sends up all kinds of Red Flags!

Just hit me. If he is a car dealership and looking to sell fast...why not take it to a Auto Auction. That poo would be bought quicker then he could get it on the floor.

There should be no question its a scam. These type of scams have been going on for years now, even on eBay. Only difference is eBay pulls them.

There is no car for 5K. Period. There is no GT for sale anywhere for 10K, even wrecked. A dealership doesn't dump cars, espcially high demand cars, for any reason at a fraction of its worth. This shouldn't even be a discussion if its legit or not!

Yahoo DOESN'T have premium auto members and doesn't have an auto escrow service. There is however a "Dependable Auto Shippers," but it'll never make it there.

Its also worth mentioning that the reason he wants cash on hand, and not an auto loan, is that an auto loan will require a valid VIN, which he obviously does not have.

It doesn't look like Gmail adds senders IP to the header, so perhaps I can use that to respond. So, maybe I'll send a response to him a little later and see what we get in return.
