So I bought a p1 procharger off this guy I kno. I have everything needed to install on my stang except for the 42 lb injectors and the diablo "mafia" which are stil on his car.

When we removed the injectors And mafia and put everything stock his car acts up during idle and stalls. His car was bought with the p1 already installed and didn't come with a handheld tuner so we checked the Ecu for a chip. It had tape around it like there was a chip inside... But there was nothing.

So we came to the conclusion that the car was tuned with a handheld and they didn't give him the handheld tuner when he bought the car. My question is how r we gonna get the tune off his computer so his motor can be returned to stock and I can get the rest of the parts I need for my install?!?!

Buy a tuner or take it to a shop.

 

id just take it into the shop. dont wanna eff around with that ****!

 

Dealership should be able to return it to stock, better option is to get a tuner.

 

Any performance shop with a dyno can flash it back to stock

 

thanks a ton for the replies, I actually have a diablo handheld that i no longer use, bc i have the SCT eliminator chip. But if his car is tuned, is there anything i can do with it by plugging my diablo into his? i doubt it but it dont hurt to ask.

I actually called the Ford dealership around here and they told me theres nothing they can do if its tuned.... didnt sound right to me, maybe they were just giving me the cold shoulder idk. & the closest dyno tuner is 2 hrs away in Richmond. Agh... the things we do for our mustangs! lol
