having trouble getting distributor drive gear off of distributor shaft. tried twisting,pushing,pulling even hitting with wood side of hammer. its not budging. any ideas for do it yourselfer.and roll pin has been removed

 

May be tough without a small gear puller. Those things can be a bugger to get off.

 

finialy got drive gear off using small gear puller, my problem turned out to be the stator. replaced it and everything been fine so far.
