Would you canabilize your beloved stang for this?

Factory Five MKIII Roadster Kit
Uses all parts from a Fox body stang. Suposedly if you have a Fox Mustang, you have all the parts you need to comlete their kit and have a 427 Cobra Replica.
Yeah their sick fast alright!!!
Here's some performance figures from the site.

i definately wouldnt rip apart any car i owned just for the MKIII. its a nice car, but i would have to wait until i had a powertrain form another car to use instead. if i did have the opportunity to build an MKIII with another fox, though, id be happy to do so.
I would have to say that as nice as the MKIII is, I would have a hard time cutting up a completely good car. If I had a car that was hit, needed a motor, or some thing like that, I wouldn't think twice about building one.

Wouldn't sacrifice an existing car but would pick up something up cheap as a donor vehicle.
If I was serious about doing that kit I would look for a cheaper fox without an engine and use it as a donor for all the other parts, i.e. suspension etc. Then I figure if you are investing $13k in a kit why drop an old engine it in. I would purchase a new crate engine and trans. You could get a donor fox for the suspension etc for around $1000 or less if you shop around.
Would I cut up a working car for that? No. Would I buy an engine to put in one of those? In a heartbeat. Sweet-looking and -driving cars. I'd love to have one. But I'd try to find a true 427 to drop in it as opposed to the 302. If you're going to do it, might as well go all the way.
The thing is with those cars is, you dont need a 427, it is really over kill. They dont get traction for crap, a 302 with just a head, cam, and intake swap will have them boiling the tires off. With a 427 traction would never be obtained without serious race tires

I'd never rip my fox apart to build one of those....they're nice don't get me wrong. But I like my fox better

Only if it was wrecked (which mine was), but, just for the short block and EFI components. Actually got an info kit/brochure from them - if I had enough time, money, and the space, I'd do it. Would prefer the Coupe version though. Never would cut up a car in decent shape.
