im sure it is, it definitely lighter. Did you know the boss 302 was faster than anything else out at the time?
Not from what I read it wasn't faster than anything else out there.

The Boss 302 was rated at 290 horsepower, but actual horsepower was more like 350.

The reason you didn't see the Boss 302 in either of those lists is because it wasn't faster than anything else at the time.
Since you're talking about Ford engines... the BOSS 429 was quicker/faster (Ford engine wise) at the time not the Boss 302.

Although I love the fifty fastest stats. If they got those numbers from back in the day they used ringers( factory preped cars) to get them. Buying a car off the lot you never really knew how fast it was going to be.
That Trans Am was super fast. The Hemi not so much unless it was maintained by a top flight gear head. They always fell out of tune.
