Lightbulb Best Oil Filter, you wouldn't guess

I am on 2 Mustang Forums and one LS1/LSX Forum. I learned a few things I will provide you . I can't link out to another site from here, but I will tell you the results:
INDEPENDENT LAB TEST
FRAM Ultra Synthetic blew away everything (AMSOil not tested) and Royal Purple got a 2nd place. WIX XP didn't do as good as thought. The test was using ISO & ANSI test methods. All filters tested were synthetic. The Fram is about 3/4" longer than a standard filter allowing more dirt/metal particle holding capacity. The test WAS on a small block V8 (Chevy I think). Anyways, I will try FRAM (Dual layer, easy grip, and highest oil flow on the test) on my Stang once I get her back together. Amsoil engine oil and a FRAM Ultra Synthetic filter, the numbers don't lie.

I cannot give experience with this filter. I bought one @ O'reillys for $8.89. Mustang (Non-police package) is part XG-8A. Does anyone have experience with these?

NOTE: Synthetic oil filters are made out of a synthetic material. They aren't just filters compatible with synthetic oil. Any brand oil and filter will do a half decent job. But when you have $$ in your engine/blower/turbos, it's insurance.

Anyways, that I learned from some Corvette/Camaro maestros.

=Keep Stangin' everyone, hope this helps someone or starts a good discussion

yeah I have heard before that the cheap Fram filters suck, but the high end ones are good . . . thanks for confirming

I wonder where the FRPP filters would place in this test . . . I guess the world will never know, but I assume they are near the top

EDIT: had to write "assume" the normal way because the filter blocked it before

I do wish they would have had 2 more filters in the test: Amsoil and the Ford FL-1A. At least as a base point. Amsoil is synthetic and the FL-1A isn't. However, the FL-1A is a good filter. I change my oil & filter every 1500-2000 miles. Best practice with all the money I have invested in engine and turbos.
