Oil Filter preferences?

I have read quite a bit here (lots of oil discussion threads!) and figured I'd ask, is Motorcraft the favorite filter brand? I am thinking to stick with the Motorcraft, is it OK for full synthetic oils? As far as oil goes, have preferred Mobil 1 oil for many years, with many different cars... but I don't want to start that discussion, honestly...

I just brought home a new baby, so will be changing the oil this weekend.

Interesting, but I noticed a lot of poor opinions of Fram filters, though in years past (have owned muscle cars since the mid-80's....) I never had a problem with them... I Well, I guess I thought Fram were fine... I see that they sell an "Ultra" filter, are they poorly thought of as well?

<------ My newest Mustang is a 2009 Pony Package (4.0), I traded my 06 in last weekend.

Thanks!
Mike B

Motorcraft, it is a very high quality well made filter. there is info on them on bobistheoilguy. they cut some open, info on who makes them, etc. motorcraft oil is very good also, plenty of info on that also.

Motorcraft filters have turned out to be quality filters time and time again in filter tests/cut opens. I use them in all three of my Fords.

For some non-ford applications it appears they source them from the OEM/factory supplier.

Thanks, all. I forgot about this thread for a while. I have chosen the Motorcraft one for this change, then I bought a couple of the Ford Racing ones. Thanks again! Looks like I will also be switching from the Mobil One (this oil change) to the Pennzoil Ultra next time, too.
