AOD prob

hey evrybody, just joined this forum i have a 91 foxbody as a new work/project in progress. sadly, its a 4 banger, but its comin out soon my trannys slippin, and the check engine light's on, is there possible connection? thanks guys

No connection, the transmission will not set a check engine code. Check engine lights are almost always a result of a bad part that is part of the emissions system...ie: EGR valve, O2 sensor, etc....

o ok thanks man. is there any other minor thing that could be wrong with it, which wouldnt require swapping out transmissions? thanks for the help

Unfortunately no, if the trans is slipping then you have either low fluid or internal wear problems....or both.

ok, do you think a tranny off of a gt with a 302 would fit?

No, the V8 transmission is completely different from the 4 cylinder one.
