At a loss for why its over heating

a fan swap cured an overheating at idle issue on my v6 pinto .. but i had way too small a fan to begin with ..

Super scale. And thick in radiator flushing it now with new fan. Holding mid way with heater on for the flush for twenty minutes idling at temp we will find out once I am done flushing if it is fixed

How you making out? How much junk was in the radiator? I brought that up even though it was mentioned that flow could be seen, I had a buddies doing the same thing the radiator was flowing but the middle core section was plugged. It was flowing but at a reduced rate, once it was cleaned and flowing at full capacity problem was solved.

Not sure yet I will know this evening finished the flush late it was filthy like visibly able to see passage ways clogged. Hoping this worked otherwise I am picking up a three tier

wow. yeah that is really going to have a bad effect on things cooling wise. Well hope everything turns out well but you are heading in the right direction.
