c4 transmission questions

c4 transmission questions

Where does the dipstick tube go on the transmission? i cant find it anywhere. Is this tube where i add transmission fluid?

Where is the vacuum mod routed to on the engine?

Vaccum is routed to tee fitting behind carb on intake,tube should be on passenger side in corner front of pan ,topside.

Not all c4 transmissions had a dipstick connected to the passenger side of the pan, but most did. If you have the other setup, I couldn't tell you where else it would be.

standard c4 trans tube will go into the trans case near the bellhousing .. heavy duty C4 sometimes called C5 will have the tube screw into the pan .. the top will be located near the heater blower at the back of the passenger valve cover ...
