You should keep the sheet and any other info that you have accumulated on your car that way if you should sell it down the road all the documentation will add to the price.

It must be nice to have something so original. My poor car has been torn apart and reassembled so many times, changed colors inside and out at least 3 times. A build sheet wouldn't be any good for me anyhow.

You'll need to crawl under and remove your starter to see the casting numbers on your engine block. But even then, all you'll learn is the type of car the engine was destined for and the month/year of production. There's not really any such thing as a "matching numbers" early Mustang.
