Has anyone put one of these on? Either I have something wrong or mine is not wanting to fit together right. The stud on the lights isn't long enough to reach through the grill and the bracket to put the nut on. If I did get it on it would be so tight that the light would be pointing straight up. The only way I see it could fit would be to clip the grill and I really don't want to do that. Anybody out there that has done this or has a picture please respond. Thanks in advance.

I had this problem with my 66. I called NPD and I couldn't even get that part. So I went to the Hardware store and just bought some threded rails the same size. Hack sawed to desired size. Screwd those in with Lock tight and just threaded a bolt and washer at the end.

Fixed it right up.

68 gt lights were recessed into the grille, so either you cut the grille or have them stick out pretty far
