That's what I'm thinking, don't fear the gear! Plus I have no plans for f/I.. so the more gear the better.

that's what I have man. Lots of fun. Hard to get traction in 1st with 3:73. I'm sure 4:10's would be harder

Well without a power adder and with suspension mods/fat tires in the back, I highly recommend 4.10's.

Yeah sometimes I wish I did go with 4:10's. I will likely be adding forced induction so I went with the 3:73 still more fun than stock but not 4:10 fun. Lol

Well sh*t... I'm going to have to leave my car overnight. They started on it at 9 am and it just got bolted up, they took it for a test drive and it was whining like crazy upon decel. This sucks

Hey man just be glad they recognized the whine and want to fix it. I know it sucks to not have your car but leaving it an extra day to have it right is worth it when it comes to gear whine.

Wow, that's good work if they are willing to take it all apart again. I'm more the "ahhh, I'll fix it later," kinda guy.

They better fix it since the gear whine comes from them not setting the gears right. That's the thing about gears, if you don't get it exactly right, you'll keep doing it over and over.

They actaully looked at the gears (frpp) and determined that the pinion didnt match up with the ring exactly how it was supposed to, so they went ahead and ordered a new set (free of charge) and it will be buttoned up monday

Yup I know when I had mine done they made some noise, I called frpp. They told me they should be silent. Noise is due to improper install. Shop replaced hem for free after I told them about my call to ford racing. First they tried to tell me some noise was normal and keep driving it. Ford told me do not drive the car at all if they are making noise. Have the shop do the job properly. If they make any noise on Monday don't accept it.

Oh are they doing the little speedo gear for you 2 or do u have a tuner? I can't remember which years have the speedo gear
